Our aim is to promote the education and welfare of hearing impaired children and young adults in all possible ways.

We are a group of concerned parents who endeavour to bring together parents, friends and teachers as a forum to provide information and counselling.

The North Shore Deaf Children's Association provides the following:

Informal gatherings to exchange ideas and experiences.

Parent Information evenings providing an opportunity to listen to a variety of speakers. Topics have included the role of computers and science, latest technology and adults and children with hearing loss talking about their own experiences.

Committee meetings are open to all members, where new issues are raised and discussed and actions decided upon.

Quarterly newsletters giving details of upcoming events and information
on the latest issues.

Lobbying the government on issues such as Australian Hearing services and the Education Department services for inclusion and support units
.

As a registered charity we are self-funded through an annual membership fee and donations.
